MCPI is among the leading producer of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) in India. Endowed with the proprietary Technology of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, MCPI has been supplying best in class PTA to the downstream Polyester segments for more than last two decades. The production unit located at Haldia in West Bengal has an annual capacity of 1.27 MTPA.

Our production process can be distinguished by high yield with a low solvent, and minimum energy consumption.

PTA, a non-corrosive white powder, is the preferred raw material and a basic building block to produce Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF), Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY), bottle and industrial-grade polyester resins, polyester chips, and so on.

Polyester Staple Fibres and Filament Yarns are substitutes of natural cotton and are widely used to produce textiles and garments.

Polyester resins/chips are further processed to produce audio/videotapes, x-ray films, photographic films, cine films, packaging films, metalized films, tapes, jars, aseptic bottles for packing mineral water, carbonated drinks, vegetable oils, cosmetics, toiletries, tea, and coffee and so on.

Safety Management System

We practice and propagate ‘Safety First’. MCPI subscribes to the highest international standards of safety. MCPI’s Safety Management System applies to both its direct as well as contractual employees. Initiatives directed towards strict compliance of Safety norms are conducted across the year- eg Safety Training and awareness campaigns. Efforts are always underway to mitigate ‘risk’ at workplace and minimize ‘incidents’ of injury and hazard.
