Plant

The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of MCPI is located in Haldia, West Bengal. It has been the production hub for world class PTA that MCPI produces and supplies to downstream Polyester industries. Endowed with the Japanese Mitsubishi Chemicals Technology, the Plant has an annual capacity of 1.27 MTPA. Plant reliability and production quality has played a key role in the amazing turnaround of MCPI, post-acquisition by TCG.

A production hike from .35 MTPA to 1.27 MTPA was achieved in a span of few years.

The best-in-class PTA produced by our Plant has served as the essential raw material for Polyester industries -like PET, PET Films and Yarn-for more than two decades now.

Environment Management System

Our commitment to the Environment is defined by strict compliances to ‘environment’ norms. The statutes of the Pollution Control Board and those of the Ministry of Environment are strictly adhered to in our business operations.

Safety Management System

We practice and propagate ‘Safety First’. MCPI subscribes to the highest international standards of safety. MCPI’s Safety Management System applies to both its direct as well as contractual employees. Initiatives directed towards strict compliance of Safety norms are conducted across the year- eg Safety Training and awareness campaigns. Efforts are always underway to mitigate ‘risk’ at workplace and minimize ‘incidents’ of injury and hazard.

KY (Kiken Yochi) On-the-spot risk assessment / foresee danger called KY is widely practiced in MCPI. It consists of Identification of Hazards, Assessing Risk, Planning Countermeasure, and making Action Plan.

Health Management System

A most efficient Health Management System governs our workplace health and safety. A well-appointed Occupational Health Centre offers round the clock medical service including emergency treatment. The Centre also performs a host of activities to promote and protect employee health.
